What you need

      • Check for any remaining memory cards and remove them.

      • Remove all ink cartridges.

      • Break off the lid.

      • Remove the sheet of foam material from the lid.

      • Open the printer case.

      • Disconnect all wires.

      • Unscrew the case.

      • Remove the glass.

      • Remove the lamp fixture.

      • Remove the printed wiring board (PWB) connected to the lamp.

      • Carefully remove the lamp itself.

      • Unscrew and remove the cover.

      • Pry open the PWB.

      • Unscrew the PWB.

      • Remove the cover to the control board.

      • First break off and then cut off the cover.

      • Unscrew all now visible screws.

      • Unscrew the cover.

      • Pry off.

      • Unscrew all next PWBs.

      • Unscrew the paper feed cover.

      • Open the paper feed.

      • Open the base.

      • Unscrew the scanner.

      • Remove the ink collector pad.

      • Cut the printer belt.

      • Unscrew the motor mount.

      • Remove the motor mount.

      • Unscrew the pushbutton carriage.

      • Remove the motor.

      • Unscrew the wires.

      • Unscrew the gear.

      • Remove the metal bars.

      • Clean off the ink.

      • Separate the remaining materials according to their type and go on with the appropriate data sheet (e.g. aluminium, ferrous metals, plastic, further PWBs, etc.).

      • Make sure the plastic parts are completely free of metal pieces.
