What you need

      • Remove the batteries.

      • Store the lead batteries safely.

      • Open the case.

      • Remove the cooling fans.

      • If the fans don't come out easily, hammer them out.

      • Unplug and remove the wires.

      • Unscrew and remove the electronic parts.

      • Remove the aluminium heat sinks.

      • Cut the wires off the electronics.

      • Remove the RAMs.

      • Remove the CPUs.

      • Pry out the cmos battery.

      • Unclip the wires.

      • Remove the disk drives.

      • Unscrew the mount.

      • Remove the battery cases.

      • Remove the aluminium parts.

      • Unscrew the PWB.

      • Remove the metal parts.

      • Unscrew the aluminium parts.

      • Remove the wires.

      • Unscrew the plugs.

      • Remove all the plastic parts.

      • Remove the PWB.

      • Separate the remaining materials according to their type and go on with the appropriate data sheet (e.g. aluminium, ferrous metals, plastic, further PWBs, etc.).

      • Make sure the plastic parts are completely free of metal pieces.
