What you need

  1. Smartphone, Smartphone: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • Remove the Pentalobe screws securing the display in place.

  2. Smartphone: step 2, image 1 of 2 Smartphone: step 2, image 2 of 2

    • Open the display using a suction cup.

  4. Smartphone: step 3, image 1 of 2 Smartphone: step 3, image 2 of 2

    • Remove the battery by prying it loose.

  5. Smartphone: step 4, image 1 of 1

    • Remove any separate boards.

  6. Smartphone: step 5, image 1 of 1

    • Unscrew the display.
