Dismantling doesn't include any harmful steps. Nonetheless workers should wear personal protection equipment like gloves, goggles, apron and robust shoes.

Note: This is a general guide for most stick blenders. As the construction can differ, the dismantling steps mentioned below can vary in their order. However, the described steps show what parts the removal should focus on.

What you need

1. Step 1 Stick Blender
  Cut the power cable.
  
  Unscrew the case.

2. Step 2
  In case the screws are not accessible, use a hammer to crush open the case head.
  
  And/or use a hammer to pry open the case along the seam.

4. Step 3
  Open the case.
  
  Remove the motor by cutting all wires.

5. Step 4
  Unscrew the printed wiring board (PWB).

6. Step 5
  Separate the remaining materials according to their type and go on with the appropriate data sheet (e.g. aluminium, ferrous metals, plastic, further PWBs, etc.).
  
  Make sure the plastic parts are completely free of metal pieces.
