The HP Stream 8 is the 8th generation of the HP Stream, released in 2015. It is identifiable from its earlier iterations and other tablets by the HP logo located a little above the center on the back of the device and the 'Stream 8' near the bottom of the back of the device.
This tablet is small enough to be held in one hand and slim enough to compete with any leading tablet today. Since this is an HP product, the device comes standard with Windows 8.1 Signature Edition and Office 365 Personal. These programs are widely used today and are a great deal when you get the tablet for the price it is without any add on for these programs.
For the physical features of this device, it has the power button, the volume up and down buttons, and a micro SD slot on the right side of the device. It has a micro USB port and a head phone jack on the top of the device.
This device is the latest model of the HP Stream. There is the 5801 and the 5901. The troubleshooting and repair guides for this device were created using the 5801 model. This device has no manufacturer recalls to date.
