This is a general guide for most microwaves.

Dismantling doesn't include any harmful steps. Nonetheless workers should wear personal protection equipment like gloves, goggles, apron and robust shoes.

Note: As the construction can differ, the dismantling steps mentioned below can vary in their order. However, the described steps show what parts the removal should focus on.

What you need

Step 1 Microwave



• Remove everything inside the microwave.
• Cut the power cable.
Step 2




• Unscrew the screws holding the side cover on the back side.
• Bend the sides of the cover to remove it.
• Fold the cover for better storage.
Step 3
• Remove the remaining screws on the back cover.
Step 4
• Remove the cooling fan unit.
• Seperate plastic from metal parts.
Step 5
• Cut the wires from the PWB of the cooling fan unit.
Step 6
• Remove the fuse from the PWB.
• Pry off the coil from the PWB.
Step 7
• Remove the capacitor.
• Take out the lamp and screw it out of its socket.
Step 8
• Unplug or cut the motor cables.
• Unscrew the motor.
• Remove the motor.
Step 9
• Cut the cables of the coil.
• Unscrew the PWB.
• Unplug the cables from the PWB.
Step 10
• Take out the controller PCB.
• Remove the display.
• Make sure the plastic parts are completely free of metal pieces.
